The article does note that one of the French resistance groups was communist-inspired. However, if a real 'worst case scenario' ever developed in these United States, the term "free shooter" would probably prove to be an accurate description for many patriotic Americans...

There might be a better analogy considering there is no Chinese empire funneling money to our militias. Your response will go over as emotional and be disregarded. The article will perhaps also be disregarded as too simplistic. It fails to persuade anyone who might be in favor of “reasonable gun legislation” to change his mind. Those who already believe in and understand the 2A will respond as you do, so he should go back and revise his paper.
