Joe Biden says 'No privately funded charter school' will receive Federal funding

Democrat candidate for president, Joe Biden, suggests that no privately funded charter school will receive federal funding. However, Joe Biden should know one thing - that charter schools are actually public schools and they use federal money from the school district budget - at least that's what they do here. A privately funded school is typically called a "private school" hence the name.

Here's what Joe Biden said, followed by commentary:

"I will not — there will be no federal dollars — I’m not Betsy DeVos — nor will my, my Secretary of Education be anything like her in terms of her attitudes about public schools. No privately funded charter school will receive or private charter school will receive a penny of federal money. None."

Good. Give me the 10 grand I pay in property tax and we’ll be done with it.

Because the Biden Federal plan will only be for those who are institutionalized with the proper propaganda we issue.

Even if you overlook the flawed premise (charter schools are public schools, and that part is Biden’s staff being stupid), the statement is still a jumbled mess. Bottom text.

Biden will issue the Critical Race Theory to the schools.

A common misunderstanding. Charter schools are public schools. School districts hate them because they siphon off students. The teachers are not unionized.

I don’t think this will go over in AZ because charters are very popular and parents love them.

There shouldn’t be any federal funding save for government research.

He doesn’t even know what Charter Schools are...but has a strong opinion about it.

One thing Obama did get right was Charter Schools - and Biden I believe was part of that administration...

I don’t believe Biden or his kids attended public school. Catholic schools receive in-kind federal funding, so I understand. Does he plan to withhold those benefits?

Attach the money to the child and allow parents to choose which school is best for them. Let the market decide which schools should survive and which should not. This will result in better educational outcomes for our kids.

Geez, even some European countries do a better job at this than we do! The Netherlands has been doing this for over 100 years!

Yep. It is ridiculous how school choice is not a right of every parent.

What happens when a Chartered School gets Federal Funds?

Federal Funds always come with “strings attached.”

Bought my 1st house in 1966.

Inherited a house in 1980.

Bought 3rd house in 1989, and still had both other houses.

Moved from 1st house to 3rd house in 1993.

Sold 1st house to renters in 1995.

Sold inherited house in 1998.

Sold 3rd house in late 2004.

Bought current property in early 2005.

Due to overlapping houses ownerships AND paying all taxes on inherited house for 7 + years before inheritance:

I have paid 87 years of property taxes in 54 years.

NEVER had any kids-—sure would be nice to get the school taxes refunded to me!!!
