I agree. As much as I.ve truly enjoyed professional football since the Baltimore Colts' Alan Ameche plowed into the NY Giants endzone in the 1958 overtime championship game, the TV is off, it will stay off all day and I'll watch the smoke go by as I read another exciting CJ Box, Wyoming game warden Joe Pickett novel ... accompanied of course by something, er, a bit "medicinal".

As much as I.ve truly enjoyed professional football since the Baltimore Colts' Alan Ameche plowed into the NY Giants endzone in the 1958 overtime championship gameI've been a Buffalo Bills fan for just a few years less. My Dad took me to games at the 'Rockpile. He bought a six pack from a neighborhood store as we parked in the street and walked to the stadium. Cried when they lost to the Chiefs and missed the first Super Bowl (but deep down happy - they would be 0-5 if they won their 3rd championship)
But they are dead to me now. I don't know who they are playing, or home or away.
