Prepping thoughts:
When toilet paper of all things went through a sudden shortage, I had 200 rolls stored (200 of what they call “4X” rolls, which really are a lot bigger than normal rolls). This is the time to buy if you don’t have a sufficient supply.
For relatively little money (about $150 for 100 pounds of pasta and 100 pounds of rice, plus about $200 for 200 cans of something that can be stirred in, whether canned soup or spaghetti sauce) you can have enough food for about 200 days. Throw in 200 jars/cans of fruit for another $200 plus one large package of multivitamins with minerals for $20, and you can eat comfortably for those 200 days. Total? Under $600. I eat all of that stuff all the time, and I cycle through every two years, replacing what I just ate as it goes on sale.
Want longer term storage? There are lots of options. For home storage (not bug out!), I love the price, quality, and shelf life of the Mormon/LDS food.

The Mormons ran out of literally everything when the country locked down, but most things are back in stock.
I also like a few MREs, a few camping freeze-dried or dehydrated meals, and perhaps a freezer full of venison.
Ammo is already in short supply, and that is certain to get shorter around Election Day. It’s always time to buy ammo.
First aid, sanitation, hand soap, bar soap, shampoo, toothpaste, shaving cream, etc.
It’s time to see the dentist, pump the septic tank, and do other maintenance items so they will not be needed later. I like going into these situations prepared.
One important thing I observed is that an Antifa terrorist is not going to be a lone attacker. The Portland shooter had an entire team for backup, and I assume several of them were armed. Kyle, a 17 y/o kid, rated multiple Antifa-core opponents, at least two of whom had firearms. I’m planning under the assumption that Antifa/BLM will not come one at a time or even in the small groups typical of criminal home invasions.

The commies are certainly trying to influence the thinking of the soldiers, with these lies about Trump’s feelings toward the military. This shows they expect martial law and hope they can create some traitors.
Best speech of the GOP convention was Maximo Alvarez’s. He told how people who looked like him had to leave Cuba, if they could.

Many planned demonstrations in DC fell drastically short of the numbers expected because the highways were jammed with cars and buses and the demonstrators never got there.

With thousands going into Washington DC to conduct this protest, aren’t they crossing state lines to conduct a terrorist act? A Federal crime right there. Charge them, convict them, and take away their voting rights, among other things.

sadly I don't think the President has the authority to set this in action. That is why he has had his hands tied with the riots.
It is in the control of the Governor's and Mayor's hands. Am I right? Would LOVE to be WRONG....
