The end of the article made reference to Gideon and the “wine vat”, but I could not find any significant additional reference to that online(?)
The reference is to Judges 6:11 Where Gideon is threshing wheat down in a winepress (they were typically dug down into the ground in ancient Israel). He's doing that in order to hide the wheat from the Midianites (illegitimate rulers of the day) who would come and confiscate it all if they saw it. Not unlike the IRS which will confiscate your income if they know (wink..wink) you have it.
