In February and March I understood and agreed with the caution, because as far as I could tell, we didn’t know as much.
By April it was becoming clear it was not what it was made out to be.
That it has gone on so long is the real story.
If this was what they made it out to be, you wouldn’t have people refusing to wear masks and quarantining, and you would need the government to mandate.
But people could see with their own eyes. I still do not know a single person personally who has caught it, except maybe myself and my wife back in February where we both got a mysterious sore throat. That is itself is unusual, but at the same time, both of our cats got some kind of respiratory thing, which was completely odd. They were wheezing and panting.
I think the whole thing is a farce perpetrated for political purposes. The virus itself is not a fraud, that is real, and it is dangerous to a population of people, but it isn’t and was never like Bubonic Plague.
But it was political farce, meant to push the President into a corner in some way. He has walked that fine line they laid out without stepping the wrong way.
I met a guy the other day when he bought something off me on Craigslist. When I went to shake his hand, he jerked back his hand as if I were going to burn him.

Yes they are, but it's not what you think it is. The CDC is confirming that most of the people who have died from COVID-19 had other underlying health issues. Not necessarily anything fatal by itself, but combined with COVID-19, a lot of people who would have otherwise lived for years have died. Roughly 190,000 of them by now. Probably more, judging by the excess mortality figures.

The media always works to drum up fear because fear keeps eyes on the screen, which helps sell ads. Nothing new there either.

It's no smallpox, but best estimates are that 0.65% of those who become infected with COVID-19 will die from it. Putting that number into perspective, 0.65% of 330 million is 2,145,000. Thankfully we'll never get close to that. The R0 best estimate is 2.5, meaning the herd immunity threshold should be around 60% and we'll reach that 60% with one or more safe and effective vaccines President Trump should be announcing next month.
Latest excess mortality figures here: Excess Deaths. We've had significant excess deaths every single week this year since March. Doctors around the country and around the world who would be risking their careers and their medical licenses (possibly even jail time) have stated that at least most of these excess deaths are due to COVID-19, mostly as the underlying cause of death (UCOD) with something else listed as the immediate cause of death.

Diabetes is an underlying health problem that dramatically increases the risk of death for anyone who catches COVID-19. But according to your logic, if I shoot a guy who has diabetes, he didn't die of a gunshot wound because he had diabetes too. It was and is very contagious. But if you are healthy you might never know you had it. It was the thing that pushed you over the edge if you had other problems.
It is also acting like every other virus by mutating into a less deadly version of itself as time goes on.

I’ll give you a hint - it’s a smallish 3 digit number, much smaller than 6% of the total deaths attributed to the flu.
This “not a pandemic” fabrication is the same BS propaganda that GP and others have repeatedly pushed from the beginning. People that repeat it are simply displaying their ignorance. “Nobody” dies from the tens of millions of flu cases that occur each year. “Nobody” dies from the tens of millions of common cold cases each year. They all die from opportunistic infections or preexisting conditions. This is the MO of many diseases. The people pushing this “not a pandemic” claim have an agenda - you can guess what it is.

Now, I use the fist bump to clear the air. If they recoil in horror to avoid a fist bump, that eliminates them as a reliable person. I don’t want them nor need them in my life.
Also, anyone, who wears a mask while driving alone or walking in our semi remote area with wind, sunshine and hills.
