Granted, language is a living social construct.   One only needs to read from Chaucer to Shakespeare to Dickens to see that English naturally evolves.   But school is where proper structure is supposed to be learned.   If we all are left to make our language up on the fly, we may as well learn Esperanto, have a chip implanted and get a mark placed on our heads.

I once worked at a large Defense Agency in St Louis. I saw a black female promoted to the highest rank in the agency, Senior Executive Service, over many better qualified white males. She had problems with English. Used the word “axed”, as in “we axed them about that”. She also used phrases like We do dis, We do dat, We go der. I didn’t know much about social promotion then and was shocked. But now it makes sense.

Gubmint-related work is usually just wealth redistribution for preferred minorities. On a related note, the good news is they still have to pay qualified people to do the actual work.

I refer to this as the “reparations tax” on busineses; hire x% of people from these groups, or be sued (qualifications be damned). Of course you still need to hire others to do the real work, but keep these fake workers on your payroll with inflated titles and salaries so we can maintain the illusion of assimilation...
