I enjoyed Santa Cruz back in the Eighties. Actually loved Cali back then too. We still have family there went for a visit two years ago. Place sucked, not what I remembered. It was already on a slide in the early Nineties. Had to decline the services of a number of females as I left the Boardwalk at night with my children back in 91. Maybe mother nature burning it to the ground would be a blessing? Sadly, my family lives up in the mountains between Santa Cruz and San Jose. Believe it or not, it is a very religious and surprisingly conservative area. Still a lot of loony liberals but I was shocked by all the Trump supporters. They are in the path of the fire.
