I highly recommend his seminal book,"Witness".
What is astonishing about that book is the recognition by the modern reader of the Leftist media coordination and tactics being used in their ad hominem attacks against Whittaker Chambers as being the same methods and attacks used by the modern Left against conservatives.
- The first time I read it, I thought it was a biography of a Soviet Spy.
- The second time I read it, I thought it was a book about a political struggle.
- The third time I read it, I realized it was about a man's search for God.
It is a remarkable book, and is full of memorable and relevant quotes.
