So wearing it outdoors or when alone is a complete and utter waste and could be dangerous to the person wearing it.

The MSM and Fauxchi would have us believe that wearing a mask will protect YOU.

Fake news. It’s so that everyone will comply. They want a compliant populace.

Unless someone is coughing on you or sneezing on you or yelling in your face, wearing a mask accomplishes nothing more than showing the world that you are a sheep.

You were doing so well until you hit the bolded part. There is zero evidence anywhere to indicate any danger in wearing a mask. That's just fearmongering. The media is doing plenty of that already. They don't need others adding fuel to the fear factory.

Everyone wearing a mask DOES protect you. Reducing the transmission of a dangerous pathogen is helpful. If fewer people have it, fewer people are spreading it, and it's being spread to fewer people, which means that the risk of you getting it before a vaccine comes out is vastly reduced. THAT is how everyone wearing a mask protects you.

No, all it takes is someone speaking, breathing, singing, yelling, coughing, sneezing, or anything else that involves forced exhalation within ~6 feet of you. Why 6 feet? Because respiratory droplets - which are the primary transmission source for COVID-19 and are >5-10um - fall to the ground quickly due to their weight. Thus, their typical travel distance is <6ft. However, in a grocery store or a subway car or a lot of other indoor public places, 6 feet is often a lot more space than you actually have between people.
