Ya know, I was gonna correct you that Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young just played it a lot, but it was Buffalo Springfield who wrote it. But on double-checking my facts, I found out that Buffalo Springfield WAS CSNY, minus Crosby and Nash (and the abbreviation which makes them sound like a crime show).
