In viewing the field am surmising 99 % when told to board the train, with a mask, will do so willingly for the trip to re-educationville
This is sort of related, as it concerns masks. Local news this morning reports that the City Council of Oklahoma City will begin discussions September 5 on — guess what? — extending their mask mandate until NOVEMBER 30. The OKC Mayor is in support, asserting that the statewide drop in numbers of both deaths and “cases” is due to — guess what? — mask wearing.
I’ve lived in OK all my life, but it’s time to leave. Even though I’m nowhere near the OKC Metro area, the above news is a sign of things to come, statewide. Our Governor, Kevin Stitt, has done a fine job, being one of only 7 or 8 to NOT impose a statewide mandate. However, what good does it do to have a governor who keeps his promise, when every two-bit Mayor, City Council, etc., imposes its OWN never-ending mandate?
Sorry all — mood not very good today.
