I wondered if this was the same Bryan Callen who played Coach Mellor on the Goldbergs and it is! He is currently being accused of rape and sexual harassment from the #metoo crowd, so he may be being converted to Republican.
If it may be more likely they are #metooing him because they found out he leans right.
