Turnabout Intruder is possibly my favorite Star Trek episode. A lot of the fun in watching Star Trek TOS is seeing William Shatner overacting, and he was really able to do it in that episode!

Shatner's acting wasn't overacting in Star Trek TOS, as the Captain Kirk character was a naturally melodramatic ham with a fat streak of shallow sanctimony.
The Shat stuck around long enough and did enough different stuff that he easily outgrew his being typecast (Denny Crane, T.J. Hooker, Canadian supermarket chains, Priceline, Oldsmobile, cameo i n Airplane!, Esperanto movies, etc. etc,)
He is a legend.
