President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Thursday directing some federal agencies to prioritize purchasing certain drugs and medical materials when made in the United States.
The scope of the order remains unclear, because it will direct the FDA to produce a list of “essential medicines, medical countermeasures, and critical input” that will be covered by the new requirements.
During the speech in Clyde Ohio, Trump also spoke about his working to reform prescription drug pricing by the pharmaceutical industry.
During his speech, Trump said that this has created him a lot of enemies, rich and powerful enemies!
“…So I have a lot of enemies out there. This may be the last time you’ll see me for a while. A lot of very, very rich enemies, but they are not happy with what I’m doing. But I figure we have one chance to do it, and no other President is going to do what I do.
No other President would do a favored nations, a rebate, a buy from other nations at much less cost. Nobody. And there are a lot of unhappy people, and they’re very rich people, and they’re very unhappy” the President said!

The president was likely talking about pharmaceutical executives who will be furious at the executive order he signed.
How is the president of the United States publicly saying “This may be the last time you see me for a while” not a MASSIVE news story?

I got a pic today from Twit: the entire White House staff was lined up on the lawn saying goodbye to Trump as he boarded Marine One for OH yesterday. Highly unusual.
Laz, two other things: 1) Remember he already canceled throwing out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium, which I thought odd at the time; and 2) last night I got a pic of him leaving yesterday for OH from the WH. The whole staff was on the lawn as if saying goodbye. This is highly unusual.

His statement is indeed ominous. However, note that he didn’t say “This may be the last time you’ll see me”, but rather, “This may be the last time you’ll see me FOR A WHILE”.
I could be wrong, but it struck me more as him saying he’s “going dark” temporarily for strategic reasons, rather than anything to do with assassination.
