there is a bit of reality in prepping....oil will not last forever....flour although still usable gets a funny taste after a couple of yrs...beans will become hard as rock over time....

buy things when on sale, use them....try to keep several months ahead....salt and sugar can last forever and hard liquor too....

we've finally used our stash of tuna and now we've got many dozens of cans of salmon to use up....
