No offense to my fellow posters but I discussed that very book here three times in the past few months. Not one person commented.
I’m glad Rush is discussing it. Book is inadequate and uneven but the topic is important.
Key to me is where he says Americans will no longer tolerate having to be around the people they hate. Dems hate us and we hate them. Either civil war violence or moving by UHauls to far away places to avoid the people.
As I posted before.
If Bite-me or another Dim “wins” this November, it is time to get serious about succession.
If the conservative states and the leftist states could agree to part in peace a separation would be be doable and would, in my opinion, be great for the conservative states.
However, a peaceful separation would not be inevitable.
The colonies had to fight to secede from Britain. Fortunately, the colonists won. It helped that they were fighting a power separated from them by an ocean.
The southern states seceded. They were not as fortunate as the colonies. The northern states did not wish them a fond farewell and let them go their way. Instead of saying “good riddance” and seeking to have good terms with a separate southern nation along the lines of their relationship with Canada, the northern states waged war on the South and prevailed.
Leftists want to dominate, command, control, and dictate. That is what they are about. So I have serious doubts that leftist states would be agreeable to an amicable parting. Allowing part of the country to pursue a freer, smaller government, personal responsibility form of government would be anathema to them.
Who knows where this will all end up.
