The way this thing spreads in enclosed, crowded spaces is more like measles (R0 of 14). I don’t find it a contradiction to take prudent precautions with this bug wandering around the planet while also eschewing what seems to be a new, more oppressive version of contact tracing.
What new version of contact tracing? Contact tracing for COVID-19 is no different from contact tracing for any other disease it’s been used with for decades. This article is spreading fear and misinformation. Contact tracing is a basic, voluntary system to provide people who have been exposed with information and resources so they can take appropriate steps to mitigate their risk.
Put it this way: if you were exposed to something that could kill members of your family, would you like to know about that? I would. I have family and friends with a number of complicated health issues and I would want to know if I were exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19 so I could avoid spreading it to people I care about that COVID-19 might kill.

Hard to avoid the evidence isn’t it? The timing of Mr. Herman’s infection, sickness and death is just too precise and to frequent to be coincidental. I’m not running for cover in a panic but doing what is reasonable to avoid getting sick. We are at the edge of the vulnerable age, no need to tempt fate.
Yes, it seems to spread quite well and all the more so since we have zero immunity to it from the outset, perhaps more now than then but still it is new.
I have no doubt it is being used as a political weapon just as I believe it is a biological weapon targeted at the US. Is there any other reason that we have a fraction of the world population and a disproportionate number of the cases and deaths? Fact is though that it is here and we have to deal with it and we are not very well because we can’t even unite to save our own lives.
