Question - is turning off your phone not enough to prevent tracing? Does their have to be metal shielding?
I'm not a cell phone technician and I don't play one on TV. But I am told that your phone continues to share location data with the nearest cell tower even in power-off mode. They used to tell you to remove the battery if you wanted to stay incognito but most newer phones are permanently sealed.
