My suggestion: There’s only one race. Human.
Several years ago I was called by a pollster who, based on her voice, I assumed to be black. At the end she asked for my race and I responded “human”. She paused and I said, “there’s only one race-we are all part of the human race”. She laughed and said that she loved that and was going to start using that answer in the future.
