Texas is a solid Republican as it has every been and will continue to Republican for the next century.
In politics, Texas is only a place where Democrats waste campaign cash.

Texas will almost definitely stay blue for a while. But the cities are getting redder and redder, And something needs to be done.
Really, I think electoral votes should go like every other representation. Split each States' EC votes in half. Then those are determined, half by the State's popular vote, and half by the county votes. Or split it with Reps' EC number based on counties, then the two from the Senators based on popular. This'll really help dilute the overbearing influence of big cities. Imagine if all the electoral votes of Washington didn't go to Seattle. Portland didn't pick for Oregon. Detroit/Michigan. Chicago/Illinois. NYC for NY.
