...its better then nothing.....
____________________________

From previous posts, I believe you’re an RN or other medical worker?

Isn’t it better to get light loads over time to prime the immune system and build up one’s natural resistance/antibodies?

Recent medical information states so-called *asymptomatic* transmission is rare-to-non-existant. Some researchers think up to 80% of all people are immune. This has led some researchers to posit a lower than usual level of confirmed, active cases to equal herd immunity.

They’ve cut the infective state quarantine time to 10 days.

Cases are increasing the most in mask-compliant areas.

People are testing positive for dead fragments and testing for antibodies from previous other coronovirus (cold) infections.

There is too much documented politics and outright money-grubbing on the part of hospital reporters to put any faith in any numbers.

No civilian is getting fitted for a mask and everyone is wearing them over and over. Even washing, sunlight or ozone will cause deterioration in filtering ability over time.

I just have no way to place faith in the reassurances and I am not certain how necessary they are, unless one is immuno-compromised. I detest the way this mask situation has divided people, and has been weaponized economically, socially and politically.

I have *social distanced* for years, so I am neither a risk nor putting myself at risk. I had something with mild symptoms back in the Spring, as did my husband.

AFAIK, there is no uniform agreement on any aspect of the mitigations being used. It seems that many *authorities* are just giving up and saying “WTH, it won’t hurt (much) in the long run and the arguments are tiresome.”

Sure, ill people should stay home. Of course. People with low immune status should also stay home, but they are likely going to catch it (or something) eventually.

The control freaks are just wearing us all down.

Not ranting at you, personally, BTW. Just frustrated as can be at the entire situation. No one is going to change their mind. Few will change their behavior. Most are just grudgingly giving in in order to grocery shop.

My bet: retrospective studies will eventually show that early mitigation was justified and that the extent of the mitigations has been excessive.

Meanwhile, we continue to beat ourselves up economically, socially, politically and medically.
