Just this week alone, we had Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac, the guy who did the "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" TV series and the one guy who was in that rock band (not Fleetwood Mac) whose name I can't remember. Then we have Eddie Shack, the famous hockey player (picture below).
It seems like everybody is dying. When will that madness end?
EDDIE SHACK - RIP
Whoa! Just two days ago we were saying how nice it was she was still around.
While Olivia de Havilland has moved on to a different plane of existence she will live forever on film. May she rest in peace.
Good friend of the Gipper! At a party, Olivia met Reagan, and he was shocked to learn that she was not a Communist. “I thought YOU were a Communist,” she replied.
Rest in peace, beautiful lady.
You graced our screens for many years.
Thank you.
I believe she was also in Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte with Bette Davis. Incredible film
Amazing that she outlived Abe Vigoda (aka Tessio from GF, and Fish from BM), who had a website devoted to his health:
Wow! RIP
Wow,she had a long run.
Aw man!
I was planning on a trip to Paris and buying her a drink...
Sweet, beautiful Melanie
One of the Greats
RIP great lady of the screen!
So sad to finally see her go. Dont know if any of the true great age are around now.
Dame Olivia de Haviland was the last living billed actor in Gone With the Wind and the last major actor who was a grown up star in 1930s movies. I support Gone with the Wind remaining to be shown on classic motion picture channels since it is a major part of history. This marks the end of an era.
