Fort Beryle has a nice a ring to it. After doing some reading about the Confederate generals for whom our military bases are named & their views on the preservation of slavery, I’m thinking it’s time to find some WWI & WWII heroes for who to rename the bases. Don’t forget history, but move forward when necessary & hold in remembrance both the bad & the good as lessons to be learned from.
