That’s definitely 5 shots from the AKM. If you listen, you can hear the rifle hammer hit the back of the bolt for the 6th shot, but no cartridge is in the chamber. Either the BLM moron only loaded 5 rounds in the magazine or he had a failure to load. This is not uncommon with the cheap Tapco plastic magazines.
Most AKs (except Yugos) don’t have a last round bolt hold open. The bolt will still close when the magazine is empty or fails to strip the next round.
Or he had already shot at innocent people earlier.
Sounds like Texas needs to add a notch above "Justifiable Homicide". This was a "Praiseworthy Homicide".
My impression is that AK-boy only fired three shots, the two following sounds were echoes.
