We are Trail Nuts. We head next week to follow some of the Lewis & Clark/ Pony Express/ Oregon Trails. We'll spend most of our time in Wyoming, the Dakotas, Nebraska, and Kansas, returning to LA via Colorado.
Any historic sites that are imperative to see? Any 'don't bothers'? We'll also be taking day hikes.
Any warnings re masks in these parts? Needing a taste of freedom after too much time in Commie California. Thanks
When you’re in South Dakota, make sure you visit the Badlands. There is a campsite or two that is away from the main part of the park that is awesome to spend a day or two in - if only to interact with the wild roaming herds of Bison. And Boot Hill in Deadwood, especially Wild Bill and Calamity Jane’s graves (for the historical significance).
The badlands in ND not to be missed, Teddy Roosevelt National Park, the Marquis De Mores home, Medora, ND. These badlands are much more beautiful than than the badlands in SD.
Very interesting thanks we are in Sandpoint w friends heading into Montana ina few days. Nice to see mountains after so much sagebrush
