Things move fast, and it’s not the same Chicago politically it once was. There were compelling reasons Daley had to crack down on protesters—his city hosted the Convention. Chicago today after Rahm Emanuel and Lori Lightfoot is an ENTIRELY different place, run by various forms of the Chicago Black Elite of which Barack and Michelle Obama were the most fortunate members.
