Cloudflare, a web infrastructure provider and content delivery network, is reportedly suffering outages resulting in major websites crashing across the internet.
Multiple websites crashed worldwide today as one of the webs most important infrastructure providers and content delivery networks, Cloudflare, suffered an outage. Cloudflare provides DNS and CDN services and powers approximately 40% of the internet.
The Cloudflare system status page stated that the issue has been identified and a fix is being implemented. The issue is reportedly related to the Cloudflare Resolver in the companys edge network in certain locations. The outage struck at quite a few Cloudflare data centers at the same time.

If you have the Freerepublic IP in your hosts file, you don’t have to worry about DNS resolution.

Interesting. One of the websites we use quite a bit from work was inaccessible earlier this afternoon and I checked and cloudflare is their dns host.
Ironically, the site we use to check if a server is down was down itself, and also used cloudflare.
Nobody needs their own hard drive, just use the cloud for all your security and storage needs.
Said nobody needing genuine data security and perpetual access. EVER!
