Trump needs to Scale the Real Wall of 2020
American Greatness ^ | 7/12/2020 | Victor Davis Hanson

Posted on 07/15/2020 8:59:25 AM PDT by SueRae

Donald Trump is trying to break through a 2020 wall.

By January 2019, after over three years of failed efforts to impeach him, sue him, indict him, impoverish him, and destroy him, the Left had failed. The economy was booming. Trump’s tweets were mostly bragging about his accomplishments. And the Left was dumbfounded that both impeachment and Mueller, in Nietzschean fashion, had only made Trump stronger.

Another good read from Victor. There is a clear path/choice that must be be heard..over and over into the election. A message focused on positive and what comes next.

[[Trump’s tweets were mostly bragging about his accomplishments.]]

Because the MSM would Never report on any of his successes- just the other day we had to learn from Trump Himself that he was still working hard, every day practically, behind the scenes- and getting stuff accomplished- like helping out lobster fishermen in Maine- the msm didn’t report on any of that that i know of- if they did it was very low key- and he revealed several other htigns he was doing that we would never have known about had he not mentioned them-

Kudos to the President for keeping us informed of his accomplishments- The MSM sure as heck won’t

A lot of good ideas but less than four months from the election is not the time to be starting them.

Plenty to chew on and I would like to hear what he is planning in his second term, including continuing repatriation of businesses to American shores, continuation of expediting clinical trials for COVID treatments (among others), strengthening our alliances and infrastructure. I did see an article on Fox biz site that the administration is looking to scale back environmental reviews and have them complete within 1-2 years. That is an essential block needed to advance any infrastructure projects.

Restoration 2021

Not a bad slogan.

I remember wayyyy back, before he got elected reading where DJT claimed in order to accomplish what he must accomplish he has to divert the media’s attention somehow from what he is doing.
I believe that the DNC’s MSM helped him out above and beyond what he was hoping for.
I pray every day for his re-election.

Trump already is starting to do the first superbly: stand up for America prior to May 25 (when George Floyd was killed), and tell Americans that in this 244th year of their existence, they will not cowardly renounce their heroes like Washington and Lincoln. Thomas Jefferson was not Jefferson Davis.

VDH is one of the best, most articulate persons in the American movement.

He was once a conservative, but he now eschews that label for one of American Patriot.

No one knows what the hell a conservative is in today's upside down environment.

I am now just a Patriot, and some of my views could be conservative and some could be liberal.

Regardless, no gummint official will ever take my guns, for any reason or for no reason.

It's is one of Quinn's Laws:

When you hear that they have taken Quinn's guns, you will know that Quinn is dead.

Amen.

I'm convinced the Big Man Upstairs had a lot to do with this.

“A lot of good ideas but less than four months from the election is not the time to be starting them.”

He should think about starting something sometime before then.

Keep the faith. How quickly we forget how “Trump would never get elected” back in 2016. They’re going to pour this crap on thick until the last minute. Just ignore it.

That’s a good observation about styling oneself a patriot rather than a conservative.

But let’s get down to specifics. Prior to Trump, I was a purist free marketer. And while I still admire the Austrian economists, Trump has made me give a second look to tariffs.
They may be the economic equivalent of a blunt instrument — but when your trading partners cheat every chance they get, maybe a bludgeon is what you need.

Article was good up to this point...

“But the public is terrified of the aggregate debt that is now nearing $30 trillion.”

NONSENSE! The public doesn’t CARE one bit about it, as long as they got their checks.

Continuing to reads now ...

Well, done reading it. Disappointed actually.

Pick (3) THREE things, not a laundry list.

NUMBER ONE.

NATIONALIZE the election by attacking DEMOCRATS. ALL Democrat leaders! House, Senate, Governors, and mayors.

It’s about saving the country from the Socialists!

ALL or NOTHING! THIS is the hill to die on!

Compromise, half measures, haven’t worked. The left is applying this ALL or NOTHING strategy RIGHT NOW!

We should JOIN them! Let’s HAVE IT OUT! Let “the people decide”.

Infrastructure? Are you kidding me? The House would never agree to this unless it contained poison pills for us like “reparations”.

The “rule of law” is BROKEN! Just ask Michael Flynn, Roger Stone, Paul Manafort. Ask Derek Chauvin, J. Alexander Kueng, Thomas Lane and Tou Thao if they can get a FAIR trial?

Darren Wilson and George Zimmerman BARELY escaped with their LIVES, although their lives were ruined!

NOT THIS TIME! These cops don’t stand a chance.

Ask Donald Trump. From riding down the escalator to this very moment, he has been ATTACKED, PERSECUTED, DEFAMED, SUED, IMPEACHED, ACCUSED OF TREASON, ACCUSED OF HAVING HOOKERS URINATE ON HIM FOR PLEASURE, ACCUSED OF TRYING TO GET SICK PEOPLE TO INHALE BLEACH!

They will NEVER stop! They must be ANNIHILATED! (politically). Dethroned from every office in the land!

It’s NOW or too late. That’s the choice.

A Trump win without the House AND the Senate won’t matter.
Even WITH a Republican House ans Senate it will be tough. Without it, IMPOSSIBLE.

I once read that when Jefferson Davis was in prison awaiting trial after the war, his former slaves signed a petition on his behalf asking for clemency.

There is a Kentucky state park at the Jefferson Davis birthplace (where there is a cement obelisk honoring Davis, a smaller version of the Washington Monument). The former director of the place, until he retired, was a black man who was a big admirer of Jefferson Davis (I heard him speak on the topic). He was a former Marine and had gotten a degree in History at the University of California at Berkeley.

In the oral histories of former slaves compiled during the New Deal, one is of a man who had not had a last name while he was a slave, so he picked the name Davis. He figured it must be a good name since he had always heard the white people talking about Jefferson Davis.

Makes one wonder if the cancel culture will extend to those that assumed the names of presidents, lots of Washingtons, Jeffersons, Jacksons, Roosevelts etc.

Van Burens, not so much.
