I actually think in a nutshell this whole fiasco is result of fairness. It is not fair I am not afraid and you are. So, therefore, I and all others not afraid must be made to accommodate your fear so we are equal. Because it is just not fair for you to be afraid alone.

Well stated. Or to say it another way, which may well be the reason for this entire pandemic panic/lockdown/mandatory mask exercise is:
to train us that we are more responsible for the next person’s welfare than he is for his own.
