It’s amazing how low the newspaper industry has fallen. Once upon a time, a newsroom was where you could debate, persuade, critique the days events. What, Who, How, When, Where?
Not anymore. The universities are even worse.
If you’re on the way out the door and you need to fire your last shot, this is an outstanding example. That lady can write!
She characterizes herself as a “centrist” and she has seen what the Left does to “centrists”.
I wonder if she considers President Trump to be a “far right extremist” and I further wonder if she think his treatment in the press is “fair”.
How much have her eyes actually been opened? Does she understand what it means to be a “centrist”? Support for patriotism, law and order, and the Constitution used to be “centrist positions”. That’s pretty much where Trump is standing. Is she standing there too?

I’d have no objection whatsoever if it kept its bias on its editorial page. That would be its right. But the bias permeates the news sections. This is unforgivable, imho.

I know that seems frustrating, but we need people other than the usual conservatives and centrists to call out the crappy excesses of the Left. You NEED those people to create a tipping point, or otherwise you just get the usual suspects demonized when they complain.
Right-wingers can be dismissed by these people when they complain about it. The more liberals who say “This is wrong”, the better.

The bias has always been there, but I’d argue that what has been going on at the NYT and other papers these past few years is indeed something different. News and editorial have been fully taken over by aggressive revolutionaries, not just your usual liberals and useful idiots, and the leftist mobs on Twitter are given more influence than they should. If you’re not 100% perfect on every issue, words, etc., then it’s off with your head.

My local newspaper I read for 30 years was truly middle of road maybe leaned right slightly. Now it is so far left it’s scary. New publisher/editor is a young woke female. My neighbor writes editorials to the editor that destroys liberal arguments on local topics and they no longer print them. They printed his letters for years.
