I think you captured the hidden thread here. However, I think many of the supporters of this idea genuinely believe the police are bad out of sheer ignorance on how the world works. AOC is dangerous. A 30 year old who lives in a fantasy land where she is smarter and wiser than generations of men and women who came before her. Her generation has a hubris and enlightenment that always works in a college classroom.

Last night the seattle group complained it took 10 minutes for an EMT to respond to a seizure. The groups’s ‘medics’ waited for one seizure to conclude so they could ‘ask permission to call 911’ from the patient. The EMTs wouldn’t enter the crowd without a PD escort. The group argued it would trigger them and the pretend ‘medics’ insisted in walking the seizing person out to the vehicle. The EMT told them that the police (which were standing off one block) had to follow the EMT vehicle to the hospital. The seizing person then declined service rather than have a police escort. To keep up his street-cred of defunding the police. The next twenty minutes was spent lambasting the PD and EMT for ‘trying to kill’ the patient. Defund the Fire Department now? This is how ignorant and evil they are as a group.
