First line has the wrong meter. It doesn’t fit the tune. A better wording would be “where at least no one is free.....”

Isreal tried (with out the physical standers) women in combat once. It didn’t work.

Actually one of them is semi-sane. The one in the middle is a vicious little leftist turd. The other is somewhere inbetween.

Actually Natalie Maines (lead vocals) was cute until she gained weight. The others were sisters Emily Robison (guitar, banjo) and Martie Seidel (Fiddle, mandolin).
They didn’t hit their “hit stride” until the early 2000’s but Maines anti-Iraq rantings and Tobey Keith’s rebuttal song “The Red, White and Blue”, kicked them out of much of country music for many years.
Now they are back, possibly good singers, but so-yesterday that nobody really gives a crap about them except for a few Marxists in music (Steve Earle, Stevie? Van Zandt (in the Sopranos TV show), and a few other, one from from ZZ Top.

Ain’t no more Dixie Chicks. Changed their name to just The Chicks. Said they no longer wanted to be associated with the name Dixie as it was to racis. It sure made a lot of Southern folks happy as we weren’t too pleased with them using the word Dixie.
