If they are so dumb how is it they know how to acquire the money they do. That house, fully restored, had to cost a fortune. Why are dumb leftists so smart about money?
There are various forms of intelligence, and not all of them are compatible and in lockstep with each other.
This is the human condition, and there are parts of us that are susceptible to the flaw.
Thomas Sowell discussed it as the subject of his brilliant book “Intellectuals and Society”. In gist, people who are experts at one thing, are assumed to be experts in all things.
We know from every day life that this fallacy is all too evident, but it seems to be more prominent on the Left.
Because someone can memorize and recite lines from a script, many people (including the script-reader) feel they can also comment authoritatively on hypersonic missile technology, 2nd Amendment rights, or any other thing that they wish to comment on and be considered an “expert”.
Likewise, even true experts on Physics or Medicine also feel qualified to be comment on and be viewed as an authoritative voice on Religion or Economics.
I like to think of myself as being authoritative on various things, but...I’m not. I just have opinions.
And, opinions are like anal sphincters...
They are plaintiff lawyers. If the right case or two happens to walk through your door you can be set for life. Just ask John Edwards.
