I remember when right before Hammering Hank Aaron was about to hit that magic 715th homer breaking Babe Ruth’s HR record, in spite of the racial crap Aaron had to put up with MLB Commish Bowie Kuhn warned anyone who pitched to him NOT to intentionally throw any easy pitches to him. He wanted to maintain the integrity of the game and Aaron broke that longstanding record on his own, because of his abilities as a great ballplayer.
