Nonetheless, what they did was strictly illegal, and all three will be convicted of some level of murder.

it shouldn’t be illegal
they cleaned up the community and removed an active thief/burglar and god knows what else he’d do if confronted during a burglary

No it wasn’t, but they are being railroaded. If they get a fair trial, they will be acquitted.
