Google Brunswick, GA to Marietta, GA and you will see that it is 4 hours and 53 minutes away (327.2 miles) from the county of the incident. That is where the prosecutors are from, right here in Cobb County, GA. That sounds a little convoluted to me. One of the largest counties in the state with the biggest budget and legal expertise.
So they didn't ask for a change of venue, just swapped out all of the prosecutors.
