That's what I'm wondering. Presumably any crew member would have immediately recognized that it was the rope used to open the garage door, so why was this one reported as a "noose"? Was this one different from the others because someone had tied the end of it into a loop to provide a better grip, and - because Wallace is black - they assumed it was a noose?
