well, they have a handbook. Out of 17 topics, only one covers actual first aid and it’s only 15 pages long. First chapter: call 911. Oh, and eat garlic, onions and ginger. They neglect to tell the reader not to move a person who has a back or neck injury. I noticed a video about a passed out guy on the sidewalk and they were moving him back and forth, oblivious they didn’t need to strip him to take his BP, or that the arm isn’t the only place one can do that.
there are also no-grade ‘formal’ courses one can take of about 20 hours, bottom line in all topics being, call 911 while feeling self-important about that printed certificate of completion
