“And one of the problems is that if you see an engineer, scientist, or doctor who happens to have black skin — you automatically assume they are a beneficiary of the quota system, and very well may not be skilled at their profession.”
A byproduct of affirmative action. This will only make it worse.
And now in the US, they won’t even have taken the SAT.
When I worked with black folks I always made sure to ask them lots of questions about the specific subject matter (very politely of course, like I was seeking their input).
In less than five minutes I could tell whether they were an affirmative action faker or the real deal.
For new grad engineers, at this point I am more likely to hire a candidate who has either gone through a co-op program or gone to night classes and working as a technician, designer, or construction craft. The latter is the route I took, and is not easy. But such a route means a lot of practical experience. Still, the zampolits in HR still will only consider those who finished the degree in the standard 4 years, and no practical experience outside SJW activist crap.
