Why Civ 5, and not Civ 6? The modding community has produced thousands of mods to the program, including Generals and Admirals that are civilization specific. It kicks azz when I see one of those great men enter the game. It's also served as a history refresher when I see generals I don't recognize from the 18th and 19th centuries.
Civ 6 changed the dynamics of the game, which turned me off.
My TV viewing, as a result is down at least 90%. I turned off Fox News a few years back, haven't missed it a bit. And now I see how the current crop of Fox hosts are trying to outdo each other, showing us how woke they are.
I was talking earlier about the YouTube "rabbit hole" in which you watch one video and then another and then another and before you know it, two hours have gone by.
So I was watching a YouTube video on how to use the paddle shifters in my new Subaru yesterday afternoon and before I knew it, probably because I had some chicken thighs defrosted and ready to cook for dinner, I was watching videos on how to make perfect blackened chicken using a cast iron pan. I spent over an hour watching people blacken chicken thighs and when I finally got around to cooking it, my wife said it was the best chicken dinner she ever had in her life.
Now she expects me to cook dinner again tonight. It's going to be fish this time - much easier. Just 20 minutes at 350 with olive oil, garlic, cayenne pepper and lemon juice.
