I can understand this. However, when the police are unable to enter the precinct and response times triple, that’s beyond a little weirdness.

Plus, I’ve seen plenty of videos of anger and chaos inside this perimeter.

I’m all for demilitarizing the police (and eliminating no-knock warrants/raids, etc), but the Nashville Metro PD is one of the best urban PD’s I’ve heard of. No reason to defund them.

In general, a bad cop is bad for everyone and I have to ask, if someone is denied equal justice, what reason do I have to expect that I will receive it?
