Don’t think so, that is a good thing to memorialize.
But it shows Lee as a dignified, honorable foe (which is how I believe Grant saw him). He refused to let his army celebrate the victory and sent food over to feed, who he felt were his fellow countrymen. Very different from the current received wisdom.
Don’t fall into the trap of equating the CSA with Nazi Germany.

We should wipe all things black clean since blacks were heavily involved in slavery with their capturing their fellow blacks and selling them into slavery, starting black slavery in the new world, and keeping blacks as slaves.
Both sides get to rewrite history.
