Wealth gaps are caused by work ethic gaps, and by education gaps.

The education gaps are caused by still more work ethic gaps, which are learned early.

You nailed it. I have a very young coworker that in a personal conversation he initiated (he likes to personally bond rather than follow instructions - won’t lose his job, but will never get promoted) whined about his father being deemed essential and should have not had to go to work. Yikes. I guess he wants to depend on the government to eat.

Kid has a 40 hour a week hourly job with no overtime. Could easily pick up part-time hours doing anything(I did until my last promotion). Games at night to the point he’s overslept during his lunchtime nap.

After the last two “bonding” conversations, I realized this kid will always be poor. The sad part is that he will never figure out why.
