According to Rosenstein, he was fully aware of everything that was going on at DoJ/FBI, he just didn’t have all the details.

My local news-channel 7 here in DC banged out the White House Briefing when this came up.

"He’s cut a deal, or his attorney is working on one."

I'd be cool with that - as long as we get to see McCabe, Comey, and Strock in hadncuffs. And Brennan, too.

They keep using the same defense: The Idiot’s Defense.

“I had no idea what was going on. I barely was able to find my way to work. How could I know what was going on? All this legal mumbo jumbo is hard to understand. How could an overwhelmed, marginal lawyer like me be in control?”

At BEST this is gross malfeasance of duty. At worst, treason.

as the saying goes - The Devil is in the details!!

Given the “target” it was his job to know the details !
And stop it or at least object (Document his objection!) if he couldn’t !

If he had no evidence at all of collusion, why did he sign off on it? Who signs off on a special counsel based on nothing?

“Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime”

Fortunately for Trump, Rosenstein, Mueller and Goldstein were no Lavrentiy Beria. Not that they didn't try. Trump was just smarter and cleaner than they thought. What was supposedly the most impressive group ever assembled for a special counsel investigation, could find nothing on Trump or his family, and only process or ancient crimes on his associates.

Gotta love it. Rosenstein takes full responsibility, but no blame.

If these criminals aren’t held accountable now, they never will be, and this country is over.

Rosenstein is not an idiot. He had to know everything going on... every intimate detail. He’s a fool with poor judgement.

What gets me, disbelief actually, is the number of people like Lindsey Graham who said a few years ago, “Rod is a great lawyer and ...”

But!.... But! Isn't/wasn't Rosenstein promoted because he was advertised as the "best and brightest"?

He came across this morning as a dumb sh*t

Two possibilities here...

Rosenstein is utterly incompetent, and committed perjury by signing the FISA warrant, because he didn’t review it as his signature indicates.

Rosenstein is/was part of the soft coup attempt against Trump.

Pick one.

Hopefully, The Stupid Party is taking notes and creating a collage of the self incriminating admissions of this, and future testimonies of these deep state actors.

"his defense is he’s incompetent."

Modern government in America only rewards incompetence and failure. So the guy gets raving reviews from his peers and managers. He grows budgets.
