Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde expressed her outrage toward President Donald Trump after Trump used her Washington D.C. St. Johns Episcopal Church for a photo op following his address to the nation, telling CNNs Anderson Cooper, I just cant believe what my eyes have seen tonight. Budde and other members of the church didnt know Trump would visit their church until they saw it on the news, they said. Budde ripped Trump for his abused of sacred symbols and was outraged that her church was used for political gain.

What? I watched the Rev. of St. John’s being interviewed live on Fox News after Trump walked over from the White House.
He had no criticism about the event; was just surprised.
I also had not seen any of the crap spewed by this woman about tear gas being used to clear the park and way to the church.
Regarding the text of the link, not you SC...
Total BS! The way to the church was cleared by the Secret Service (NOT tear gas) and the Rev. is a man who was interviewed live on Fox News.
oh, I did. I sensed his disgust for Trump, but he didnt come right out and say it.
Something tells me that she’s not a Fisher of MEN.
The historic church is intact.
The fire was in the basement in the recently renovated nursery and the FD was able to access that and put it out.
I posted similar comments, just later than you did.
He was the Rev. of the church and had no criticism at all.
I’ve no idea who this woman is who is claiming it’s her church.
I knew it wouldn't take long for these leftist "bishops" to complain about what they call Trump's photo op.
For supposed 'men and women of God', they sure are filled with a LOT of hate.
Leaving a Godless church is not leaving God. It is only leaving a vile club.
YUP.
Great point. Even the article I read about this (the CNN one, not Mediaite) made the "small fire" at St. John's Episcopal Church sound like no big deal.
Nope, they dont even have one effing brain cell between the lot of them. Not one! We never had so many morons leading this country as we do now.
I didn't see any tear gas either. Yet I'm reading that there was "tear gas to clear a path for Trump so he could do a photo op" everywhere tonight.
Budde has long been a vocal Trump-hater, the media sought her out for that reason.
Or maybe there was just a lot of talk about it a few years ago, and it never really happened...?
I don’t think Trump was endorsing the Episcopal sect.
He went there because it is an historical site, IMO.
Kinda like the United Meth. Church, now!
Yes! Thank you!! President Trump was standing right in front of that ALL ARE WELCOME sign when he "dared" to hold up the Bible. So "All Are Welcome", Bishop Budde, except President Trump and Trump voters??
Budde -- a so-called "woman of God" -- is filled with a LOT of HATE.
Yes, I think you mean Rev. Robert Fisher, the Rector of St. John's? I saw him on Fox News earlier. I agree with you... he's NO fan of Trump.
If she didn’t believe every lie that comes down the pike, she wouldn’t be so outraged.
“Bishop” - so much wrong with that and who she really is....Like Cuomo and the rest, they think the President of the United States should be held prisoner by “protesters” and if that’s true, think of what they want to do with the average law-abiding citizen...
Laws and rules do not apply to leftists, only to patriotic Americans.
