I believe he said that when the stock market shed 800 points the night of Trump's election, Krugman didn't even wait for the markets to open the next morning before predicting in his NYTimes column that the markets would NEVER recover from Trump's election. The first day, the Dow closed up 250 points. And you all know what’s happened since.
Krugman is like a one hit musical wonder. He gets a hit, wins a Grammy and then never records a successful song ever again.
Krugman won a Nobel economic prize in 2008 and has never been right about anything since. And yet everyone, including the NY Times, still listens to him like he's some big guru in economics. He's not.

It is not an unrealistic expectation to see the economy comes roaring back in the second half of the year. Heck, it's probable.
