here it is for those of you who don’t want to hear Tommy’s take on it.

Bottom line: “no knock” raids create too much of a risk of a shootout, with occupants legitimately thinking they are being attacked by home invaders.
There needs to be a standard where police more clearly announce themselves, which would include sounding siren and doing their lights, so that everyone inside knows that it is the police there.
there also have been home invaders that dressedup like police and well-armed and broken into peoples homes.
criminals have already gone to the lengths to impersonate police to do their breakins and shootouts
How long until the cops absolve themselves of any wrongdoing?
And idiots declare it a good shoot?
How bout double checking? Unforgivable.
There are a number of facts in this case that the leftists have been omitting or downplaying. Of course I can’t be 100 percent sure what I’ve heard is correct but here is what I’ve gathered -
1. The police had a no-knock warrant but they did NOT conduct a no-knock raid. They arrived, knocked, announced who they were, waited, then when the occupants failed to admit them they broke in.
2. One of the occupants fired on the officers as soon as they entered, the police returned fire, and Ms. Taylor was struck and killed.
3. The police were NOT at the wrong house. They had a warrant to search that premises AND search for a man who lived elsewhere. The other man was a suspected drug dealer who had been receiving packages delivered to the raid address.
There may be plenty of problems with the warrant, the raid, and the shooting but as is typical for such cases the media coverage is deliberately misleading.
Link did not state much of anything.
Maybe you could say who Breonna Taylor was.
(Excerpt)
Who was Breonna Taylor?
Taylor was a certified EMT who had two jobs at hospitals in Louisville. Her mother, Tamika Palmer, told The Louisville Courier Journal that Taylor was a young woman who adored her family above all else and who had made plans to succeed.
“She had a whole plan on becoming a nurse and buying a house and then starting a family. Breonna had her head on straight, and she was a very decent person,” Palmer said. “She didn’t deserve this. She wasn’t that type of person.”
Family members said that she was kind, hardworking and honest.
“She really did not deserve to end her life so horrifically,” said Taylor’s aunt, Bianca Austin.
Mother of EMT killed by Louisville police speaks out: Breonna Taylor ‘didn’t deserve this’
Why were police at Breonna Taylor’s home?
Taylor was not the main target of the narcotics investigation that prompted Louisville Metro Police officers to enter her home. But officers had a search warrant for her and her apartment that included a “no-knock” provision, meaning that police could enter her house without identifying themselves as law enforcement.
Records show that police believed that a suspect in the narcotics investigation, Jamarcus Glover, used Taylor’s home to receive mail, keep drugs or stash money earned from the sale of drugs.
However, according to the lawsuit filed by Taylor’s family, police had identified Glover at a home more than 10 miles from Taylor’s apartment before they executed the warrant at her residence.
There is no body camera footage available. Police Chief Steve Conrad said the Criminal Interdiction Squad does not use that equipment.
You have a 10% chance of being right in your statements. Allegedly knocked, allegedly announced who they were, allegedly supported their action with multiple bodycam film (oh wait, no bodycams), had a great CI (unnamed and unidentified) who gave them that address and they had UPS/FEDEX receipts showing and proving delivery of drugs to that address. Sorry, probably in the coverup and spin cycle before the quick and quiet settlement in a year.
The article linked at Reply 8 isn’t terrible although the headline is.
Whatever. I provided useful information. People can get nasty attitude anywhere.
Far more disturbing than Coronavirus. These incidents are worth a shutdown until there is accountability. Absolutely ridiculous.
I’d pursue charges to the end of the world. There wouldn’t be any keeping me quiet.
Very limited information as the cops race to cover their asses.
If youve ever been around a raid where they claim to knock, theres a big difference between what a cop calls knocking, and what a citizen would call knocking and announcing. Typically, its not knocking and waiting for someone to answer the door.
Its somebody pounding on the door two or three times And yelling police search warrant and within one second the battering ram knocks the door off the hinges. In most raids where the cop claims to knock, the person wouldnt even have time to stand up, much less answer the door. Knock and announce to a cop happens almost simultaneously.
What matters in this particular case is what happened in this particular case.
