Beat me to it. PTSD typically refers to an anxiety response stemming from some actual life-threatening experience, such as occur in military, police, or criminal situations. I've never heard of it in this kind of context, where there is no actual threat to the people involved.

Irrespective of this lawsuit, I have a friend who polices criminal images on YouTube. I can’t even repeat the things she’s she’s seen regarding babies, children, and animals. Thank God for monitors who can take that on with the compassion it deserves.

Mark Zuckerbergs company will be paying $52 million to thousands of workers affected by the content they were forced to view and remove from Facebook.More than 10,000 content moderators who worked for Facebook from sites in four U.S. states will each be eligible to receive $1,000 in cash. Any of those moderators that are now diagnosed with psychological conditions related to heir work as Facebook moderators can have medical treatment covered and may be entitled to as much as $50,000 per person.
First, anyone that has ever worked in a photo lab can relate to pics that just should not exist. From law enforcement to citizens operating on the edge, some stuff just had to get developed. One reason that cities created in-house film processing and then went digital.
Same type of lawsuit that MS settled a year or so ago.
But of the $52 million, how much is guaranteed to go to the workers (minimum $1,000 each) and how much to the lawyers?

How can someone possibly get Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from just seeing images? Depends on what it is. Like a mangled body. You don't ever want to see that. Ever.
