Been getting them up here in Canada for a while. Not always but often it’s a local number.

It’s worth noting that most scammers use a phone number scrambler now. I think it’s called spoofing. So if they are calling, say, a 555 area code, they will present their number as coming from a 555 area code.

In reality, they are probably calling from India, that magic land of heartless phone scammers.
